John De Souza
John de Souza is president of the consumer health division at Aptus Health, responsible for the consumer engagement, media solutions, and health systems businesses. Prior to that, he was the president and CEO of MedHelp, the world’s largest health community, which was acquired by Aptus Health (formerly Physicians Interactive) in June 2014. A serial entrepreneur, John has founded and held senior management positions in several successful startup companies, including Flash Communications and DESoFT.
From his professional start at IBM T.J. Watson Research Center working on robotic surgery systems to leading the technology practice at Goldman Sachs’ Private Equity Group, John has always been passionate about the potential for technology to improve healthcare.
John received a B.S. and M.S. in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from MIT and an MBA from College des Ingenieurs in France.
